Our Story

Who We Are and Where We Come From

What is the biggest barrier to making an impact? It's not funding; none of our domestic or international programs require exorbitant sums. It's not training or expertise either: our founders were soldiers, not humanitarians. It is finding the access to a transparent and effective platform.

reBlue grew out of the chaos of the 2021 evacuations from Afghanistan; the "Digital Dunkirk" where veterans and civilian volunteers used technology, ingenuity and willpower to form ad-hoc and decentralized humanitarian networks to rescue Afghan Allies. Those networks -which still exist in the form of bespoke NGOs like our founders' own 1208 Foundation- were egalitarian, transparent, and most importantly; effective. This effectiveness is what reBlue aspires to recreate and capture.
